A: Not sure. But when you rinse the dal in water, some yellow color comes off. Maybe its natural color, I dont know.

A: I don't have packing with me, but think it is from India if my memory serves me right.

These are nice good quality mung beans. I use these to make an egg concoction similar to Just Egg. I have never had a problem with bugs or anything else in the bag. They're always nice and clean.
