Just don't mix it up too vigorously, keep stirring it as you use it (but gently!), don't overload your brush worth paint and you'll get a perfect finish, every time. For cleaning, just paint out the xs (on some old paper or board), use B&Qs own paint brush cleaner (cheap and cheerful), finish with a vigorous plunge in some hot water and washing up liquid, dry on a cloth and roll your brush tightly in some newspaper and store it that way - that stops the bristles from splaying out and makes the brush usably useful every time you need it. Works perfectly for me! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/55806815-hammerite-5092830-direct-to-rust-metal-paint-smooth-gold-finish](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/55806815-hammerite-5092830-direct-to-rust-metal-paint-smooth-gold-finish) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
