A good balance between weight, softness and warmth. Yes I do know that soft-shells aren't waterproof but water repelling, windproof and breathable. Saw this design in Trespass but not in my size or navy. Not the intention but saved a bit having to buy online. My previous Trespass softshell was size L which was fine. I found in store Trespass size L was now too small and ordered XL. A perfect fit so consider ordering a size up.
