The stones are slightly flattened while still maintaining a pebble-like shape. This makes them more comfortable to stand on and greatly reduces the amount of grout showing between stones. In addition, the stones are fitted tightly together on the mesh, again greatly reducing the amount of grout. These pebble tiles are much better quality than those I have found at big box stores and are a wonderful substitute for the expensive version sold at my local high-end tile store.In addition, the tile arrived very quickly and the company sent me a 2nd, complementary tile of a similar product in case I decided I liked it better.
