It's very concentrated and will make about 45 or so gallons. That alone makes it economical to use. I've heard non-stop from some gardeners and hobby growers how fantastic this is and a must have for the best results. The silica promotes plant growth by strengthening stems and overall great sturdy appearance, because your plants now have the silica advantage. Not only does it make strong & sturdy stems, the thickness is noticeable to the eye, insects hate this stuff, so that is a huge plus. Pleased to know about this silica because I never would have even thought about it as a fertilizer, but with so many enthusiastic recommendations I knew I had to check it out, houseplants looking better than ever, waiting for a few more weeks for outdoor plants and veggies. 45 gallons will go very far, and judging by friend's results this is money well spent, anything to help my plants thrive for the time and effort is spent , so you might as well go for the maximum result! Happy Gardening! Recommended! Review: You'll get stronger plants if you use this. - It was what my plants needed in the long run. I purchased this 1 year ago and have been using the 8 oz bottle for a while now and it's only half-empty. I use this weekly to water 21 plants in semi-hydro (that's a loooot). I wanted to leave a couple of tips for people new to this - add this first to your water because otherwise the silica will react with whatever fertilizer/calcium mix you're adding and creates solids. Please use a separate measuring tool for this if you're pour or a dedicated pipet. Also you need to adjust the PH of your water if you're gonna use this in semi-hydro as it raises the PH, so you'll need a meter or strips. Otherwise, great product. I'll buy again next year when I run out. ## Features - PROTECTS PLANTS FROM EXTREME CONDITIONS: Silica Boost strengthens cell walls and helps keep plants growing even in tough conditions. Silica can help increase plant defenses from all sorts of stressors - heat, humidity, drought conditions, and more. - INCREASES PLANT SIZE AND WEIGHT: Many plants are silica accumulators, which means the more silica they get the more silica they build into their cells. The result is healthier and larger plants. Apply Silica Boost during all stages of growth and bloom - COMPATIBLE WITH ANY NUTRIENT SYSTEM: Contains a water-soluble form of silica that is 100% compatible with other nutrient systems. For best results add Silica Boost to feed water first, then other nutrients - HIGHEST QUALITY, MOST POTENT, BEST VALUE, BIGGEST YIELD: Bloom City’s ingredients are better for plants, better for you, and better for the planet. Simply the best choice for the conscientious grower - FORMULATED AND MADE IN THE USA: Designed by botanists and plant chemists in Seattle, Washington. Bloom City chooses only the highest quality ingredient sources and manufacturing methods to create the world’s best craft growing nutrient systems ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B073ZP113T | | Application Method | Add to every watering | | Best Sellers Rank | #7,172 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #183 in Garden Fertilizers | | Brand | Bloom City | | Brand Name | Bloom City | | Coverage | Full | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,049 Reviews | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Highlight | Highly Bioavailable Silica, Supports Stronger Cell Walls & Sturdier Stems, For All Growing Mediums, Concentrated Formula | | Item Weight | 8 pounds | | Liquid Volume | 128 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | Bloom City | | Mixing Ratio | 750:1 | | Model Number | BloomCity_SilicaBoost | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | BSILICA1G | | Specific Uses For Product | Plant Growth, All Stages of Growth and Blooom, Indoor and Outdoor Environments | | Target Species | All plants | | UPC | 841401125110 | | Unit Count | 128 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Bloom City - **Item Form:** Liquid - **Item Weight:** 8 pounds - **Liquid Volume:** 128 fluid ounces - **Specific Uses For Product:** Plant Growth, All Stages of Growth and Blooom, Indoor and Outdoor Environments ## Images ![Bloom City Liquid Silica Boost Fertilizer & Supplement, 1 Gallon - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/715TJ0JZ4kL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How often should this be used? Every feeding, every other feeding, once a week?** A: Every feeding is best. **Q: How often do you add it to plants?** A: Myself i use it every time i water my plants **Q: What is the analysis, amount, of silica in this product. I see that potassium is one tenth of one percent? Thanks!** A: Thanks for the question! Our Silica Boost contains approximately 3% silica as potassium silicate. It is 100% soluble and available for plants to uptake. Hope that helps! James - Bloom City **Q: What does it mean "add Silica Boost to feed water first, then other nutrients"? Can I add other nutrients to the same water with silica? Thank you!** A: You can add other nutrients, but they should be added in a particular order, with silica being added first. It’s important to add each nutrient in the proper order and mix thoroughly before adding the next. Silica is always the first to be added. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plants thrive & luxuriate with this nutrient, bugs hate it, 2 great reasons to try! ! ! *by S***Y on May 15, 2025* This is a new twist to me on plant fertilizers.
