I have the 9mm but I assume the 45 is the same width as the 9mm. I would definitely check that out before buying, look at a couple of other sites and maybe call DeSantis. It's a great holster, very comfortable **Q: Can this be worn farther up your leg, closer to the knee? (With the optional support strap).** A: I don't use the support strap (not needed for me) but I would think it would help to move it farther up the leg. The problem I see is accessing the gun. You would have to pull your pants legs way high, unless you're a female and are thinking about wearing the rig under a long dress. **Q: Is there one made for a glock 42** A: Yes, DeSantis makes a Die Hard for the 42.
