The segments stay together with an internal, heavy duty shock cord, same idea as the tent poles for hiker dome tents. The only minor problem is that the cane clicks everything you put it down while walking. The click is in the height knob. This is a personal annoyance. The segments stay firm. Easy to pull apart for storage or whatever.
Review: Foldable Cane - Nice cane for the price. Only draw back for me was I could not adjust for my 5ft height. It wd be better for a taller person. There were other particulars that I wanted in a cane, just did not make the height a top priority. Still use it anyway after knee surgery.

Great cane. Easily adjustable, very lightweight. The segments stay together with an internal, heavy duty shock cord, same idea as the tent poles for hiker dome tents. The only minor problem is that the cane clicks everything you put it down while walking. The click is in the height knob. This is a personal annoyance. The segments stay firm. Easy to pull apart for storage or whatever.
