This is a brilliant horror series that takes place in Victorian London, featuring all sorts of monsters and creatures and iconic horror literature characters. This may not sound very appealing, but do yourself a favour and just watch it. Excellent performances all round, very high production values, lavish sets, great attention to detail and a gripping story line. I'm totally hooked!

A wonderful set of characters brought together by time and circumstance to fight the forces of darkness. Despite their strengths, each have weaknesses and all must rely on each other as the fight progresses.Never has the term, "United we stand, divided we fall" ran truer.Dark tales set in dark times. An excellent addition to any supernatural series.

Incredible quality in everything - plot, direction, acting, cinematography.Hard to single someone out but my favourite is Rory Kinnear's performance as the Creature.Brings together all the Gothic horror of vampires, werewolves, monsters.I wish more TV had this quality.
