very good value for the price, works great

This vacuum fits my house vac system perfectly. My only complaints are that it is very loud and does not swivel side to side when trying to vacuum the baseboards.

It does a great job, probably as good as my Beam powerhead that was damaged beyond repair. Some down sides of the Central Vac: 1. The Central vac powerhead seems overall, to be made more cheaply than the Beam. 2. The Central Vac has a high pitch sound that I find beyond annoying, maybe even damaging, to hearing, so I wear earplugs. 3. The light in the Central Vac powerhead is a joke, it does not shine anywhere on the floor, but upward, and when you pull the Vac back toward you, the light shines up in your eyes. I may have to open it up and discontinue the light. On the plus side: 1. The Central Vac head is working well after a few months. 2. The price was good. 3. The original order arrived obviously damaged and the return/ replacement process was easy.......On a side note, the cord plug was not compatible with my original long power cord (which I knew when I ordered it) I modified the cord on the Central Vac powerhead to match my existing cord. Do not attempt this yourself unless you are competent in electrical work AND you are comfortable losing any warranty on the item.

I bought it to replace a unit that worked fine for over 3 years, but this one only lasted 3 months. It would only spread the dust around and when turned off dumped all the dirt in one spot. terrible product

For the price, and not have to buy all new hoses/accessories it is great. Didn't work with my button/clip style attachment. Had to make an adapter.

Cleans properly, but is so loud (Puts out a high-pitched "scream") that ear plugs are necessary when operating !

This power nozzle replaced a power nozzle that was at least thirty years old. It was easy to connect. The electrical connection worked well with our in-house vacuum hose head. When we used it on our carpets, we were amazed. The carpet pile came up better than it had for years. Specks of dirt came up easily, some we suspect were not being brought up by the old nozzle. The old nozzle brushes were obviously worn down over all the years and were not doing the job any more. This nozzle is noisy, but not objectionably so. The on-off switch on the nozzle is very nice. If your power nozzle is more than fifteen or twenty years old, perhaps it's time to upgrade to a newer nozzle with brushes that are not worn down.Our carpets haven't looked this good in years. Very happy.

It seems to work great. I like how lightweight it is, and I like how they included multiple rubber ties to secure the cord. A couple of issues that reduce my review to 4 stars.-I vacuum with my right hand, which means I'm standing on the left side of the vacuum (probably like most people). The on/off button, which you press with your foot, is on the right side of the powerhead. I find that strange.-Has a higher profile than my old powerhead, so it's harder to get under low furniture.-Wheels make a high pitched squeak when you pull backward too fast.-Does not seem to have a carpet height adjustment, which I should have known based on the description.Despite these limitations, so far it seems like good value for the money.

The powerhead on our central vac died for the last time - we've replaced belts, etc. for years, but this time it seems the motor burned out. We found a new one would have cost somewhere in the range of $150-$200. Then I found this Euraka one and took a chance on ordering it for $84 !! The reviews were varied, and it appears some people have experienced breakage and sudden death with this unit, but we were very pleasantly surprised to find it arrive intact and work extremely well !! No lack of suction or power -- so we hope if we treat it kindly it will last a good long while - it does a great job !!

We bought this in Dec. 2023. We are August 2024 and it just died. It was always very loud from the start... it feels like a lot of money for only 8 months. we only have short commercial-like carpets here... and it was never abused. Do not recommend.

I like that it is a perfect replacement for what I originally have; good price also; but after a few times of using it, I noticed that it kept on stopping; it turns out that the circuit breaker trips, why? the motor gets overloaded by the roller/brush; The roller seems to be a little tight to turn, I loosened up a bit and tried again, this time its running very well;
