As others have said, they are extremely sticky which is excellent in theory, but yes they will rip drywall paper or leave residue if you take them off. And they are thin, but not a major concern for what I used them for. My dad has an unfinished bathroom in the basement and is happy with the fact that the toilet works should there ever be a number of people over. I decided to do a little DIY after moving back temporarily and the before and after pics show just how lovely these are. A new owner of the house may hate it one day, but it's a nice update and he loves it.
