I have the wick touching the bottom of the mason jar. They would light and die out after a couple of minutes.** A: Mine work perfectly fine in wine bottles. I put a filler in rocks or glass beads etc. i let them soak for 20 minutes and haven’t had a single issue. They light right up every time and stay lit. **Q: Can any tiki type oil be used with these wicks?** A: I use regular tiki torch fuel like you can buy at Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot. You can get it with or without Citronella. Do not use lantern/lamp oil because it's not the same thing. That is for lanterns. **Q: Just bought these. Mine fell apart in less than 60 days. Do you warranty your products?** A: Yes,we warranty our fiberglass absorb the oil well and provide a perfect burning effect.The part of the wick steeped in oil will absorb the oil and expand a bit.If you have any question on using please mail us and we can help you figure out the issue. **Q: Can these be used for the glade plug-in diffusers?** A: No. These are much wider than glade plugins. I didn't think there would be much of a difference, but man it's a significant difference. It burns a lot more efficiently and lasts way longer than the ones that are provided stock. The ones that came with my torches started to fray and bubble up less than an hour of being lit. But these ones kept their form and didn't bubble up and all throughout the duration I've had them burning (which was at least 2-4 hours).
