Apparently the SHURE SM7B was too heavy for it. We would have returned, but by the time we had fully set up our studio it was too late. **Q: Is it a difficult set up and noisy?** A: I just assembled mine today and it was really easy to build. There is no doubt about its quality. Really nice quality professional product work same as before I bought my RODE. **Q: Can the base be mounted upside down?** A: No. The arm has a free-spinning stud that can slide out for easy storage and would fall out if upside down. **Q: Is there a way to mount this on my wall? With a separate attachment** A: Possibly, if you purchase a separate wall mount. The desk mount section is attached to the tapered base piece (that sits atop the desk). That tapered base part of the mount contains a cylindrical hole that accepts the protruding pin on the bottom of the articulating arm, and a thumb screw on the desk mount allows the arm to rotate without lifting off the base. You could discard the desk mount section and insert the extending pin from the bottom of the articulating arm into something similar to the Amazon listing: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MRJTRC2?ref_=pe_527950_33920290_dpLink&th=1 The diameter of the pin at the base of the heavy-duty boom arm is slightly less than 1/2" so from the measured pictures, it should fit in a separately purchased wall mount -- but I did not try this personally. It's a sleek & sturdy Mic Arm as designed. Good luck with your custom mount. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ great value for money *by on Reviewed in Singapore 17 February 2025* Arm holds up an SM7B with no issues, very sturdy. not 5-stars because arm is quite stiff ### ⭐ Worst Experience *by on Reviewed in India 8 July 2026* To be honest, I am extremely disappointed. I paid around ₹8,100 for this boom arm because I expected premium quality and long-term durability. I did not expect a critical structural component to fail under normal usage. I ordered this previous year on june and this is what i get worst experience to buy this ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Boom Arm around! *by on Reviewed in the United States 5 October 2024* I'd highly recommend this product as I've owned quite a few boom arms in my time. I have always spent money on condenser microphones for my PC setup. I've owned everything from BLUE Yeti, Blue Snowball, the Hyper X quadcast, the SHURE MV7, and more. This boom arm's aesthetic is top-notch and looks great with a black desk setup. The arming and clamping it on the desk was super easy with absolutely no hassle at all. I would argue to say it's one of the easiest boom arm setups I've done and I'm not great at doing that! It's also very sturdy and holds up great. Have had zero issues wiht it and if I had to recommend a boom arm, this would be one of my top choices. ## Frequently Bought Together - Boom Mic Arm for Shure SM7B/MV7/Blue Yeti, 2024 New Upgraded Microphone Desk Mount with Hidden Cable Trough & Extension Tube, Universal Pro-Heavy Duty Metal Blue Yeti Boom Arm for Podcast, Video - Shure MV7X Microphone - XLR Only Pro Quality Dynamic Mic for Podcasting & Vocal Recording, Voice-Isolating Technology, All Metal Construction, Mic Stand Compatible, Optimized Frequency - Black - Amazon Basics XLR Male to Female Microphone Cable for Speaker or PA System, All Copper Conductors, 6MM PVC Jacket, 6 Foot, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/547128389-boom-mic-arm-for-shure-sm7b-mv7-blue-yeti-2024](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/547128389-boom-mic-arm-for-shure-sm7b-mv7-blue-yeti-2024) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
