I repurpose Breyer horses (plastic horse models) by stripping the paint off and doing custom painting. We did 5 models in total. Talk about fast! The most time is reloading the little blaster, as it doesn't hold a lot, but that's not a big deal. It can take me an hour to hand sand a classic size model, and I can't get into all the cracks and crevices. It took 5 minutes for a model with the soda blaster, and it gets it completely clean. Wow!! I used powdered sodium bicarbonate....we had a 50 lb bag on hand that we bought for another use, so we decided to try it. Worked great once we ran it through a sieve to get all the lumps out. Then we tried silica sand, which we also had on hand, and it was even better.
