If you need a switch, buy this! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value Switcher / Volume Knob *by B***T on December 21, 2025* I bought this when upgrading to a DAC that didn't have a volume control, paired with an Emotiva A2L+ 2-channel amplifier, also without volume. This Tenealay is a passive amplifier so won't increase gain further, simply attenuate it, whch is fine since most sources (including mine) output sufficient voltage. The benefit to it being passive component is that it won't color the sound. The unit is solidly built, and the swich between sources works well. It's heavy, and looks good on my desk. My only concern is that turning the last 40 degrees or so, it's a bit grating, like a rake over cement. It worked just fine, but since this is the control I use most on my stereo rig, it has to be pleasant to use. Out of fairness, it was fine for small changes.
