The 25-ft. COMPACT EASY GRIP tape measure features a smaller size and extensive rubber overmold to maximize grip and enhance durability from accidental drops, vital when working from heights. These tapes feature a 1-1/8 in. wide blade that enables 13-ft. of blade reach, allowing you to reach further when working alone. Review: Functional tape measure with a minor design gripe - Very good, easy grip definitely works well with the rubberized surface, and otherwise it's just a solid tape measure. Locks well, pulls out well without too much effort and retracts beautifully as well. However, if you are going to rubberized so much of the surface, why not go that one extra step and add a a rubber piece to the end of the belt clip? There's just a sharp metal edge poking out of the otherwise soft exterior of the tape measure, so I always had to be extra careful not to lay the side with the belt clip down in case I damage any surfaces. No stars off since you can easily fix this with some tape or by removing it completely, but it's just a strange exclusion otherwise.
Review: Small but good - This is a really good tape. I like it because it extends out far. It doesn’t crack like most tapes when you’re trying to extend it. I would get it again.

Very good, easy grip definitely works well with the rubberized surface, and otherwise it's just a solid tape measure. Locks well, pulls out well without too much effort and retracts beautifully as well. However, if you are going to rubberized so much of the surface, why not go that one extra step and add a a rubber piece to the end of the belt clip? There's just a sharp metal edge poking out of the otherwise soft exterior of the tape measure, so I always had to be extra careful not to lay the side with the belt clip down in case I damage any surfaces. No stars off since you can easily fix this with some tape or by removing it completely, but it's just a strange exclusion otherwise.

I received the CRAFTSMAN 25-Ft Tape Measure with Fraction Markings last week and have been using it around the house and garage for various projects. This tape measure feels very well-built with a sturdy rubberized case that provides a good grip and helps protect it from drops. The blade is wide, stiff, and extends smoothly up to 25 feet without buckling. I especially appreciate the fraction markings (1/8" and 1/16") printed clearly on the blade — they make reading measurements much faster and reduce mistakes. Other great features: Smooth and reliable manual-locking blade that holds firmly in place Easy-to-read numbers and markings Comfortable thumb-operated lock button Durable hook that stays secure on materials Retracts cleanly and consistently I’ve already used it for hanging shelves, measuring for furniture placement, and doing some small woodworking projects.
