Review: Exceeded expectations - Pros: affordable, super easy to “install”, nice material, arrived quickly, looks way better than expected Cons: none yet (will report back in durability later if they do not hold up) I bought these because my dogs were slipping down the hardwood stairs. I had done research on fancier options but I was honestly too lazy to get the measuring tape out and didn’t want to spend too much money on this. I bought these expecting it to look super cheap and horrible, but at a $40 price point I wouldn’t care (and I especially wouldn’t care if it helped my dogs walk on the stairs easier) but these actually look pretty nice! These arrived in the evening and I had it all laid on the stairs within 5-10 min. It was soooo easy. I saw some other carpet options where it is actually a sticky adhesive and you have to very carefully install them and use other tools to make sure it looks perfect but I hated the idea of all that effort. Also those made me nervous that they would say it’s “safe for hardwood/vinyl flooring” but then when you take them off you are left with residue or damage. So I was really excited about these because they are not sticky at all but somehow stay in place 100%. Because these are fresh out the box in these photos you may see a couple spots in the middle where it looks like it’s popping up, well it is but it’s because that’s where they were folded in the box upon delivery. I think that after some time being walked on it will flatten out great. I also didn’t clean the stairs before installing them. If I would have vacuumed and mopped first they might not have this issue. Anywho, even with my janky install they don’t move, and you won’t trip on them, but if you are suuuper observant and picky the middle bump may bug you. I love that you can easily lift them up and move them if you need to fix the alignment when installing. I think I read that you can even wash them?! I’m nervous to try that so I may just hand wash or spot treat them if necessary.

I have 11 steps, and only took 15 minutes to put them on each step. Just peel off the bottom and press down on the wood steps. I think they will be helpful for him walking up and down the steps (and me!). I would recomend them. Price is reasonable.

Great, durable treads and they will not ruin the floor underneath! They do not curl up on the edges and they look nice. Easy to peel off the grip backing, place on the stair, and readjust if needed without ruining the wood underneath. Doesn’t slip or move when walked on. Excellent for my senior dog who slipped on my stairs. 🥺 (nice for me too actually) A+
