Technically it has a ( I would not say quirk) few conditions and those while imperative still need to be addressed. The wiring needs to be PERFECT and so does the SWITCH and the BULB HOLDER. I had to change a couple of Holders. It would seem the CURRENT FLOW while okay to light up a bulb during normal power supply MAY NOT be enough to light up the inverter bulb during a power cut or so my electrician told me. I changed the HOLDER and voila! there was light. it needs charging and after 3 hour of keeping the light on, I could see the bulb light up during a staged power shutdown. It's decent and at a price point where I am actually thinking of changing the entire lot. The limitation is that it only has BRIGHT WHITE as an option. I prefer warmer hues...it's too blue for me for my living room. If you are okay with CORRECTING whatever line, Switches or holder faults ( if any ) you have then it's not even a debate , Just go for it. I normally do not encounter a lot of power cuts but it's for emergencies and it's worth the effort and minuscule cost addition. The biggest USP however is that it's Philips and I have seldom seen ( Never actually myself) it gone wrong. I even checked my wiring. I installed a new inverter bulb from a local store and it worked in the same bulb holder while this bulb is not. Do youself a favour and get one from a local store even though costlier. It will atleast work. **Q: How to claim warranty?** A: Video error is not application since it doesn't provide any battery backup and works ok when there is no power cut. **Q: How much Battery capacity?** A: Usually around 2000 mAh I believe. But don't buy this bulb. It doesn't work.
