## Description

Devoko Outdoor Storage Shed

Review: 8x10 Assembly - Just finished assembling 8x10 unit. Unlike other units this unit is actually slightly bigger than 8 x10. We made a base 9 x 11 which worked out well. You definitely need a base. The base pictured used 2x6 PT for outer frame and 2x4 PT on 2 ft centers for cross member supports. Used 4x8x 7/16 OSB for the floor. Did a water seal on the OSB before assembling the shed since it isn’t PT. You definitely need a base if you aren’t assembling on concrete in order for all the holes to line up. Make sure the bottom frame of the shed is squared by measuring from diagonal corners to make sure equal distance. Secure the bottom shed frame to the base to keep it squared during assembly. The instructions were good and generally went together without significant issues. You’ll need to be careful attaching the top frame. The top frame on each side has a groove instead of individual holes so you’ll need to careful with the corners in order for roof panels to line up correctly. You may need to make adjustments in process. We managed to assemble the entire shed with only drilling two holes when attaching the final trim piece as the holes were off father than could be adjusted. Half the panels have a protective coating. After removing the film from one panel we chose to leave the rest covered as it took about 20 minutes to peel the film off the first panel. We’ll deal with the film a little at a time in the future. You can use an electric screw driver but it needs to have a torque adjustment. Some of the screws can strip if you aren’t careful but there about 450-500 screws which is more than we wanted to do by hand. We chose to apply dab of acrylic seal on each to the exposed roof panel screws as the included plastic washers didn’t cover some of the holes entirely due to alignment. It rained the day after we finished and the inside remained dry without leaks so the deal was a good choice. You definitely need two people for assembly of some of work. I recommend having a folding table to layout all the hardware to keep from having to continuously bend over to grab screws. Also recommend removing everything from the two boxes and laying them out to keep from having to continuously dig through the boxes to find the piece or pieces you are looking for. Actual assembly time with two people was about 13 hours over three days. Leveling the ground and assembling the base was about 4 hours. We had all the base lumber cut to size at Home Depot so we could start assembling as soon as we got home. You may question the the rigidity of the unit as you are assembling but once everything is completed the unit is pretty solid, more than I anticipated. Overall we are satisfied and felt the unit went together pretty easily.
Review: Works for the price - For the price, this is a nice little shed. Just remember, it's a $130 shed made of thin sheet metal and a frame. For the 5x3 shed, it took a little under 4 hours to put together with two people and many beverage breaks. I would highly recommend doing this with two people as the shed is a bit flimsy early on in the process until everything starts coming together. It's also easier for one person to hand the other all the screws as you go through all the steps. Pros: Cheap, looks good, pretty straight forward assembly process with easy directions. Cons: Very time consuming with a bunch of little screws (i recommend a drill), material can easily dent and bend so take caution during assembly, alignment of screw holes - our shed was pretty good until we go to the roof where we either had to hulk pieces together to get them to line up or create our own holes. The biggest con and most time consuming part was removing the ultra thin protective film on half of the pieces. That part probably took us 45 minutes with two people. I'd rather take the chance of the sheet metal getting scratched during shipment than have to peel that film off. It's pretty clear that there is no floor with this shed so have a plan in place. We put ours on two plastic pallets with a heavy duty outdoor rubber rug underneath. A level ground or base is a must... this will keep the shed frame from bending in odd directions during assembly which can mess up the alignment of the drill holes. Water resistant, not waterproof, so expect some leaking in heavy or prolonged rain. I'm sure there are some things you can do to seal it up but it's a shed being used for garden tools so probably not worth it. I also would not put anything flammable within the shed... it's a tin can that can get VERY hot sitting in the sun and there is no ventilation on the 5x3 version.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How wide is the door? It looks to be larger than 1/2 the width but I’d rather know for sure.**
A: It is about 1/2. That made it easier to get stuff in it. I put alot of stuff inside including a metal shelf. I still have room to move inside. Best choice i made

**Q: Thre are no predrilled holes on the shed, US 3 side, what do we need to do? It is the top support bar.**
A: I spent quite a while figuring this out. The grooves on the wider face of the US3 pieces need to face the outside of the shed and the groove on the narrow face of the part faces up. This isn't clear in the manual. The screws that attach the top of the wall panels go into the groove in US3 and the screws to secure the roof panels go in the groove on top of US3. The screws will cut their way into those grooves pretty easily. For those screws I set my cordless drill (Porter Cable 20V) to seven on the torque clutch. For screws into sheet metal I used a setting of three.
Don't do final tightening until all screws for a panel are in place and piece is aligned.
I also drilled out the holes for the hinge screws into the shed to 1/8". The holes in the doors were okay.

**Q: I bought the 4x6 one, a single box arrived without instructions and without screws, should it be like this?**
A: Of coarse it shouldn't. I would either contact the company directly to see if they would send u some ,if u don't wanna go threw the hassle of sending the whole box back through Amazon.
I got instructions and a box of screws and hardware.

**Q: Does it come with a floor**
A: No. It doesn't have a floor. We laid mdf board for the floor

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good storage shed for outdoor use
*by E***H on December 22, 2025*

I bought this shed for extra outdoor storage and it works well. Assembly took some time but the instructions were clear. Once assembled, it feels sturdy and provides good space for tools and supplies. The door opens smoothly and it looks nice in the backyard. Overall, a good option for the price.
