Or will the weight of this damage the tap?** A: I hang mine from a metal hook and it takes a 100ft hose. **Q: Is this is a good idea to put the water pipe under weight of the hosepipe?wouldn't it be more professional to use screws at side. Really don't think there is a problem with it being hooked over the outside tap. **Q: Does this have to be fixed onto a wall or does it fit over an existing outside tap. If so is it secure.** A: Hi, The tap fits through the hole at the top. The hose pipe winds round the hook at the bottom and leaves room to turn the tap on/off. Works really well.
