I'm wondering if people are getting the single rows of lights (like I did) and are expecting the double rows (600 LED instead of 300 LED) I put these in a camp trailer, wired to the internal 12v system. I used one of the wireless remotes so I could dim them as well. They work great. No dead leds or any problems for me. The cuttable sections with the solder points worked out great. Due to poor planning on my part I ended up soldering these while they were hanging from the ceiling and I still got it done. The pads are a little small but still very usable. The adhesive isn't great but I expected that going in. I ended up using some double sided auto body molding tape. It's expensive but it works great.

**Q: Says waterproof...can I use underwater attached to my boat trailer so it lights up the trailer under water so I can it when docking at night?**
A: Other answer is wrong. Waterproof should be able to submerge water resistant cannot be submerged. In order to be waterproof it must be ip69 i believe this is ip65 which would not be submergible

**Q: Do we have to plug it or is it battery operated?**
A: You could power it with a 12v battery (as from a car), but normally you would power it with a small 12v transformer with at least 200 ma capacity and that is purchased separately.

**Q: Are these lights dimmable?**
A: Sure you can lower the voltage to dim them! It's just that it's not a linear relationship between voltage and brightness. The light shuts off at about 6-7V, not 0V. The hard part for non-electrical people is how to make such a circuit. The better way to dim them is to use a pulse-width modulator (PWM) to rapidly turn the lights on and off, which your eye sees as being dimmer.

**Q: Does it have 3m tape on back?**
A: It has a sticky side ,yes

Love the lights, most the bad reviews on here are from people either nkt reading the discription clearly or not knowing how to wire them up. They aren't meant to be plugged into a home outlet, you wire them to a switch of some sort. I love thesekghts so far, they're very bright at night and we're easy to install and cut. However, I wish the adhesive was a little stickier but for the most part it stuck fine and nothing a little dab of glue here and there can't fix. Very satisfied for the price!
