I recently bought a regular bath mat but the more I looked at these, I had buyer's remorse. I used to have an aquarium and used Diatomaceous earth in the filter, so I am very familiar with the material these mats are made from. So, within a week a bought this one and very happy with it.I have had very good results with it. It has not warped on me and the floor is not wet. The shelf protector is perfect for keeping it in place, too.You have to understand what diatoms are to understand why you are getting wet floors. The water isn't really magically drying up; it's being soaked into the tiny pours of the creatures' shells. So, if you have multiple people taking showers every day, you are going to flood all the tiny pockets before it can dry. So, in such a case, it would be good to stand it against the tub or something to get air to both sides. I can't answer to the warping issues.I am more than happy with this purchase. It's kinda cool when someone notices and asks about it, too.

I was happy to receive this bathmat as I was getting extremely disgusted with wet, possibly moldy bathmats that were not as strongly absorbent as I'd like it too. Once I received this product, I was amazed at how durable it is and the strength of the stone mat. One thing I was not happy about is this strong smell the came off upon opening the package. There is a non-slip mat that you put underneath the stone mat and that is where the strong smell came from. I honestly don't know how to describe the smell, but it was very pungent and I had to let it air out for almost a week so it can reach a point where I don't gag. Once I finally used it, the stone mat does immediately absorb the puddles of water that falls onto it after a nice shower. If you get this product and the smell is horrendous to you, I'd recommend airing it out at an area where you barely go to or leave it on your porch deck to get rid of the smell.

Nice mat, but it's very cool to the touch.Hard material seem brittle so you need to take care while using it.Before you use it the manufacturer suggests cleaning the "dust" off it. A white wash cloth was gray after this light cleaning making me wonder if the mat will dirty your feet after a shower. So far, no.Also, this mat comes with an anti-slip mesh pad to place under the mat so it won't slip. There are no instructions so you have to read the box.

We bought this for our new basement bathroom and we are pleased.When we first got it we dumped some water on it and the “stain” stayed. It was frustrating to me but then I just soaked the entire thing and it’s all back to the same color. It hasn’t stained since and it’s been used for about a month.Happy to not have a soggy rug outside the shower.

I was worried a stone mat would be too cold to step onto but this mat does not get cold and dries feet impressively fast because of the strong absorption. I love it and highly recommend it if you are looking for something modern and / or don’t like the unhygienic aspects of fabric mats in a bathroom
