Getting on in years and possibly my weight contributed to the reason way. I've developed sadly what ladies sometimes refer to as bat wings, flabby top of the arms. This meant that the strap which wraps around the arm wasn't long enough to secure this product. I did in fact contact the supplier/manufacturer to bring to their attention that it doesn't fit everyone. There response was excellent and although at the present time unable to offer any solution to this problem it would be taken into account in the future manufacturing of their product.
