Has a non slip coating on the back, washes up nice, I let it air dry and it dries quickly and springs back into shape. They are excellent non slip bath mats. I am renting a home and the floor in the main bathroom is exceptionally slippery. Who ever put it in never researched the slippery rating when they picked it. If I buy this house, that floor will be the first thing to go. In the meantime, I need to step out of my shower onto something non slip and safe from the feeling like I am on a skating rink. These bath mats do the job. They feel good under your feet. They are thick and cushiony. They hold up well in the laundry, too. One of my friends fell in love with mine so I had to share the link with her and she put them in all her bathrooms now, also. I am also now buying a longer length to put down in front of the double sinks. They dry off quickly due to all the surface area and don't stay soggy.
