I learned that 8mm-1.0 is fine thread and so I went to the store for 8mm-1.5 and the store only had one. It fit the threads, but the nut was defective and would install. So, I ordered these locking nuts, and they fit my threaded posts. In fact, they appear to be exactly the same nuts that came with the machine. Very happy to learn about metric fine and course threads, and that these nuts worked well.
