There is a handy plot overview, then there is notes exploring the characters, writing structure, language and themes. However, other than the text, you only get nine pages of analysis!! The plot overview is allocated just over a page; The context section is better, covering publication, Christmas and poverty & wealth over three pages. Structure gets another two pages, with a fair comparison between the tale and a musical carol. The most interesting part of this story should be the characters, yet this gets only two pages: come on - this barely dents the surface. The study section finishes up with a short discussion of language and themes. Personally, I'd rather the students went for York notes or CGS.
