When I got the book, it was so well organized that I had no difficulty understanding each part, that pointed out in advance how to avoid common pitfalls; such as those that are prevalent among the reviews of the various types of machine embroidery products (machines, thread, stabilizer). Hopefully I won’t make any of those kinds of mistakes, but if I do, I’m sure to find the solution in the pages of instructions and the trouble-shooting guide.A section on regular sewing machine decorative stitching. This book was bought because I am planning to buy a sewing/embroidery machine, but didn’t know which one to buy. I was amazed that it was very, very easy to read, that I really didn’t want to put down. In a story book, you often hear that, but rarely in a DIY, instructional manual. I’m certain the actual machine manual won’t be such a page-turner...but I’ll read it none-the-less. Not reading the manual for your own machine is the first user error cautioned against in the book. Now I have a much better idea of what things cause success and failure, as well as why some features and machines seem much more or less expensive.
