I did have one issue; the kit came with 1 1/4" screws to attach the upper blocks. My RV bed compartment cover is 1/2" plywood so I added a 1/8" piece to each side (along with the provided 3/4" blocks) to ensure the screw points didn't go through the cover and into the mattress. When I went to close it to check the setup (before gluing), the blocks pulled away. I ended forgoing the check; drilled the through bolt holes and checked again once I installed those. It worked perfectly. I pulled the blocks off, glued everything and reinstalled the bolts and screws. This setup has already saved my back several times over. Don't waste your time on other kits, this works! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked well but make sure you order the right one. *by on Reviewed in Canada 20 September 2021* Good design but important to consider the weight of mattress and any topper. I installed it in our 5th wheel trailer according to the instructions but the bed would not stay up. Instructions said to make adjustments in 1" increments. It just required one adjustment to shorten the stroke of the cylinder for the bed to stay up as desired. ## Frequently Bought Together - RV Bedlift Kit - SMALL Standard Mattress – Compartments 24” – 30” - Camco Camper & RV Screen Door Cross Bar - Protects The Screen Door & Allows for Easier Exit from Travel Trailer - Adjusts from 21-5/8-Inches to 28-5/8-Inches (42183) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/53040007-hatchlift-products-rv-bedlift-kit-small-compartments-24-30](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/53040007-hatchlift-products-rv-bedlift-kit-small-compartments-24-30) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
