Review: Terrific grooming tool - I saw this type of grooming tool advertised on social media, accompanied by over-the-top AI-enhanced videos of it removing hair as though it were a razor. It does NOT work like that. However, it does a terrific job of clearing out brillo-sized balls of cat hair every time I use this on our long-haired kitty. With our old brush, we could manage a few strokes before she would jump off our lap. With this brush, she comes to me daily for grooming--she LOVES it. I can't believe how much hair I get, even with everyday use. Not only does our kitty now enjoy the brushing process, but she also seems more affectionate and calmer overall. I've even noticed a reduction in her scratching behavior. While I can't say this is solely due to the calming, sensory input from the tool, the timing suggests a correlation. So, if you are coming to the reviews because you are skeptical of the videos showing this tool shearing an alpaca, I get it--I did the same thing. I join with the other reviews declaring it effective and worth the money. Unless you want to shear your alpaca--in that case, keep looking.

**Q: Will this work on short hair dogs?**
A: It's perfert for use on long and medium haired dogs and cats. For short haired dogs, as we've tested, it works for German Shepherd, Poodle, Saint Bernard, Shiba Inu, Aussiedoodle, Chihuahua and Newfoundland.

**Q: Does it rip the hair?**
A: No, I use it on my 17 y/o cat and it removes the excess hair quite gently, and effectively I might add.

**Q: How do you clean the brush when its full of hair ?**
A: Just pull the hair out by hand. It's a small brush, I wish it was a little bigger.
I have two long hair German Shepards, the brush grabs the hair and almost feels like your pulling the hair and hurting the dogs. I stopped using it so it will not hurt them. Maybe on a dog that does not have such thick hair, it will probably work better.

Amazing! I have two hundred pound shepherd mixes--one tiny a shorter coat and one with a mid length coat. have tried the furminator which was very costly and the dogs don't let me brush them with it for very long. I have a blade shedder that they tolerate better but doesn't get the undercoat too well. This grooming tool is incredible. I could t believe how much of the downy undercoat it removed and how easily. The dogs don't mind me brushing them with it. I used it for two days and have noticed a huge decrease in the amount of hair on the floors...and when I pet them I do not get hair flying everywhere! Have already shared the product link with several friends!
