If i ever get out my ceiling paint, I may paint it in place. But for now it looks great and it nicely complements our new light fixture. It's very light weight, and very thin. It was very flat. I used a little caulk as an adhesive to stick it to the ceiling, then mounted the fan bracket on top of the Medallion. It's white and looks OK. I probably could have spray painted it to try to match the fan. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars was that there is a small gap at the outside edge. The Medallion is actually molded with a slight gap. I don't understand why they wouldn't have molded the Medallion with a slight interference on the outside edge.
