I bought this Orbit brand drip irrigation line because of the brand name. I have purchased other unknown brands and not had any problems. This Orbit irrigation tubing was so brittle that it would break just trying to unwind it. I did install some in my garden and all the water would gush out of the first 18 inches and almost no water would flow through the rest of the 8 foot length. The no name brand I previously bought works beautifully. This is garbage! Review: Use this 1/4" tubing for easier installation, after the emitter! - I like this Orbit tubing for the delivery runs to individual plants after the pressure controlling emitters. I have had this tubing blow off the coupling that's attached to the main lines (1/2") at 26psi !! The commercial (RainBird) tubing is stiffer and much harder to press in your fittings, especially if your hands are getting tired, if you have any arthritic conditions, or if you're just becoming an older fart like me! You may have to heat the to put it on. **Q: So, is it poly or vinyl? To say it is both is false advertising.** A: This Orbit drip tubing is vinyl. **Q: what is id/od of tubing? never seen irrigation tubing without measurements, hence all the hard installs** A: I do not know the id/od of this tubing. However accepts 1/4" fittings snugly. If the tubing is being difficult, warming it in sunshine and/or some hot water will soften it enough to allow the 1/4" fittings to be inserted far enough to be secure.
