Review: Great 1 litre bottle – just a bit big for the car - I’ve been really pleased with this bottle and use it regularly. The 1 litre capacity is a great size as I don’t have to constantly refill it, and the hourly drinking guide down the side is genuinely useful for keeping track of how much water I’ve had throughout the day. The lid is particularly good. It locks securely so I’m happy putting the bottle in a bag without worrying about it opening, and the carry ring makes it easy to grab and take around with me. I also really like the overall size for everyday use. The only downside of that larger capacity is that it’s not particularly convenient in the car and doesn’t fit well in standard cup holders. Other than that, I can’t really fault it. It’s well designed, practical and does exactly what I wanted.
Review: My new favourite - I bought this to put in my backpack for work, its narrow design is great as it doesn’t take up much room. It works really well and I’ve had no leaks in my bag. The part you drink from is built in rather than a straw. This makes it a lot easier to clean. It’s easy to use and drink from. There is a small hole like all these style bottles, so if you try drink quickly, some can come out and splash you…I find if the hole is at the top this doesn’t happen though. It is lightweight, however understandably it can be a bit heavy when full due to its capacity.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is Recyclon?**
A: Recyclon is a transparent bio-based plastic. Made with plant biomass materials, it also has a lower melting point, which reduces energy used in manufacturing and recycling. Recyclon is a safe material for food containers.

**Q: Can you give me tips on using my ION8 OneTouch bottle?**
A: When drinking, you only need to tilt a little, as the spout is positioned to flow perfectly with a minimal tilt. Even a leak-proof bottle can leak if seals are lost or removed. Always check all seals are in place. Spares are readily available.

**Q: How much water do I need to be well hydrated?**
A: The EU recommends 2 to 2.5 liters of fluids daily for adults, including water from food. Aim for 6-8 glasses of water or other beverages. Individual needs vary based on factors like size, age, activity level, climate, and health status.

**Q: How do I clean my ION8?**
A: Before use always rinse the water bottle and cap with cool water. After use always rinse in warm water and dish soap only. You can use the dishwasher in the top rack or on a cool wash. Air dry thoroughly before storing and always store with cap off.

**Q: How do I care for my ION8 bottle?**
A: Do not use brushes or abrasives to scrub, do not freeze when full, do not boil or microwave, do not use for carbonated drinks, do not use in a dishwasher on a very hot wash. Always ensure your leak-proof seals are in place.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality bottle
*by B***Y on 3 September 2026*

I'm a big fan of Ion8 bottles as they are easy to clean (usually only two core parts) and are extremely sturdy and durable. It's easy to use, has no straw but has a raised lip area, and washes well in the dishwasher without damage. Have recommended this brand to others and they've also been impressed! Lots of colours and sizes to choose from, so something for everyone.
