Yes you can use Lagunamon essential oils in it. This warmer will be able to sufficiently heat up any name brand essential oil or wax. I bought the sphere because I guessed that the bulb would be closer to the warming bowl and I was right! I use warming oils from Walmart! I wouldn't recommend leaving it on for more than a few hours or however long it takes to get the scent to spread just because of the strength, unless you like very strong smells. Or dilute it with something like olive or coconut oil. Anyway I filled it nearly to the top and it lasted about 24 hours. It didn't burn up as quickly as other people reported so perhaps the brand and whether or not it's diluted makes a difference. After the first 2 days of leaving it on 24hrs I've decided to turn it on and off every few hours so the scent doesn't overwhelm me or my pets. It also makes a great night light! I was lucky to get one that's denser/thicker on one side so I can turn it around depending on my mood. You can get a bit more light if you take the bowl out altogether. It's literally perfect!
