The metal is thin which is why we highly recommend the platform for stability. But this is perfect for what we need it for. We are satisfied with this purchase. Review: Not worth the MONEY!!!! - I finally got this put together. Took 3 days 8 hours a day. A lot of the holes were not in the proper place, short 35 plastic washers. Not a lot of detail in the instructions. 4 holes for the back wall upper bracing were drilled to big I had to get 4 screws to fit, luckily I had them in my shop. The sheet metal is very thin and flimsy bends very easily. I will not buy another one from Patiowell. It is all metal. **Q: How strong is the roof? We get a lot of snow here and want to make sure I reinforce the roof and walls if people have had the roof cave in due to snow** A: Walk away from it. Every rain squall collected on the roof fabric until it essentially collapsed. Two weeks ago in frustration i cut it all up and sent it to the landfill. it definitely won't stand up to snow loads. **Q: Metal gage / thickness?** A: 0. 0138inches **Q: If i am putting this on a cement slab do we need to made a wood frame bottom?** A: We put ours on a piece of outdoor pressure-treated plywood and screwed it down to the plywood boarding.
