The camcorder looks good and has some nice features, but there are some serious issues to be mindful of. I like the IR and various video mode settings. It fits a tripod easily and has a nice touch screen along with buttons for navigation. It has lots of memory slots and connects to my computer easily. The issues I have mainly are that even though it looks good, it feels very cheaply made and light. However, this might not be a negative for some if you have to hold this in your hand for extended periods. More serious, I took some 4K video and It did not look very good to me during playback on my computer. Blurry images and AA lines around certain objects made it look more DVD quality that has been up-scaled or converted. Worse yet, the audio of my recording was barely audible on playback. I checked the mp4 file and it listed the audio as 96kbps (mono) 32KHz. For an HD camera, this is terrible. I looked in all the menu settings and the manual and could not find ANY information about audio or if it was changeable. The advert above lists this camcorder is designed for amateurs, not for Professional users. This is very true, especially if by amateurs you mean kids. I have a much older sony camcorder at home and it has more features and better video/audio quality than this camera.
