However, my earphones have round cable not flat. The only thing I can see causing an issue is the width of the cable. It may very well be able to be pushed through the rubber end. If you cannot get the cable tgrough the small hole in the rubber, a careful "snick" with a craft knife to turn the hole into a slit should suffice. The rest of the internals shouldn't cause any problems. It's a very well made plug which should outlast any earphones. The other metal halves screw into the pin you just assembled. It can be a bit fiddly, but not difficult to do.
