The chain drapes flows across your fingers like heavy cloth. The links are smooth without sharp edges. I imagine this is what a comfortable chainmail is supposed to feel like.I haven't been able to actually try it on my cast iron because I keep fidgeting with it at my desk. I may just have to buy a 2nd one to actually use for cleaning and keep one for fidgeting.Update: After using it for scrubbing my cast iron, I found it works great! It's not the sharpest compared to other chain scrubbers but it's perfect for my uses. I don't burn that much food on my cast iron so it's easy to scrub clean with this chain.
