It has a deep surface area and looks clean. Ours arrived with a chip in the laminate but is in a spot where it shouldn't be too noticeable because in our space it is against a wall, but it could be a problem in other spaces because it is on the front. Delivery and shipping otherwise went well. I didn't put it together but heard no complaints about it being over the top tricky. note for purchasers no drawers or storage.
