## Description

The Yost Vises V-275 is a portable 2-3/4-Inch Jaw Width Vise. This vise features a vacuum base that allows it to mount to a variety of smooth work surfaces (laminates, steel, granite, glass). The vacuum seal for mounting will only work with wood or other grained surfaces. The vise head swivels 360-Degree and can pivot 90-Degrees. This allows you to work on multiple angles of small part without removing the part from the vise jaws. Soft vise jaws are included for holding parts without marring. Body parts are precision die cast. Vacuum base is operated with steel lever to actuate vacuum. For optimal vacuum operation the rubber base should be cleaned regularly to remove dust and other debris. A few drops of water can be added to the base for the best vacuum holding force.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The description states "the vacuum seal for mounting will ONLY work with wood or other grained surfaces". Shouldn't that be "will NOT work with wood?**
A: Yes because it does not work with wood.

**Q: Can I get a replacement rubber base?**
A: I haven’t had success with getting it to lock down a
On any surface for more then a few seconds.  It has been totally useless to me.

**Q: Anyone think this would hold the weight of a 20" bicycle frame?**
A: Nope, vacuum seal isn't strong enough

**Q: Should I return this? Even totally clamped down, with the ball locked totally into place, it has at least an 1/8th of an inch of wobble. Does yours?**
A: I can’t really say from day one I have not been able to lock it down to any surface long enough to use it.  I waited to long to return mine.  
The 1/8 of an inch would not be a deal breaker for me and I think there should be away to tighten the grip on the ball unit.
