Review: It taste bitter, but it doesn’t have additives, which is huge for me - So far so good it says unflavored so what that means is there’s no additional flavor to cover up the natural flavor of these amino acids. It has a bitterness to it. I put it in about 8 ounces of water with a little bit of Baja gold mineral salt, & the tiniest bit of Metamucil sugar-free Stevia psyllium fiber that is orange-flavored to knock out some of that horrendous bitterness, shake it all up & gulp it down really fast. then chase it with 12 ounces of water before I go to the gym. I like that it does not have a ton of additives and it lists on the ingredients that these nine amino acids are freeform base. This is the cleanest amino acid that I’ve been able to find my fiancé has the other popular brand that starts with a T. We both like our picks. But mine specifically saying freeform on it I believe that mine might have a little bit of an edge, but I’ll do my research you do yours.

I see lots of complaints about taste and blendability here and so I must assume that this is the first powdered and unflavored amino acid supplement many have used. For those of us who’ve used similar products in the past, I think it’s safe to say that most of them taste awful and don’t mix well. It’s just the nature of the beast, folks. My suggestion, if you are struggling with the taste and otherwise happy with the formulation, is to try the capsules and skip loose powder amino acids. I’ve purchased the same Codeage supplement in capsules and it was great! I accidentally ordered the powder because Amazon suggested it was time to reorder and I stupidly didn’t look close enough at the description. Upon opening the new container I was pretty disappointed because I know full well how gross amino acid supplements taste. Anyways, it is what it is, and I’ll use it up. It’s really best to straight shot it in a little bit of water rather than trying to sip it. Then chase it with a full glass of plain water. I think Codeage is a good brand and their products seem to be relatively clean so I wouldn’t give up on them just because you don’t like the taste of this one. Any unflavored amino acid powder is going to taste horrible. Secondly, I’m not a body builder, just an older gal interested in staying fit. There’s a great review on here about this not being a good supplement for people trying to put on muscle mass and I recommend you read that persons review if that’s what you’re in to.
