These are great pans for the money, the non stick is brilliant and they were a lot cheaper than my previous set plus my old handles fit too.

I had some Tefal pans with detachable handles in the past and the problem was that one of the handles failed completely and the other kept getting stuck, so they rather lost their innovative appeal and the pans themselves didn't fair too well after lots of use and the occasional drop. This set, which includes 18cm & 20cm saucepans, 24cm & 28cm fry pans, 28cm wok and 28cm multi-pan (plus 3 glass lids, 2 silicone covers for the fridge and 2 detachable handles) seems to be made of a slightly more robust material and non-stick coating so I'm hoping the pans themselves will last well. The handles have a much more complex design than my previous ones, which makes them less intuitive to use but if they last longer, that will be the main thing, and they come with a 10 year guarantee.My major quibble is with the design of the lids. These have silicone edges and because of the way the handle clamps onto the rim of the pans, the lids have a small cutaway to accommodate them. This means there is a gap around where the handle sits and when you pair that with the small hole in the silicone to let steam vent, you have a lid which is not going to work well for any cooking that requires a 'tight fitting lid.'I'll hold off saying any more until I've been able to use these more fully and the real test will be in a year or two, but for now this seems to be a set that offers really good value and genuinely saves space when all pans are stacked away.

Top Quality Cookware setThis is 13 piece cookware set by Tower.When the set arrived by the courier the box was about ready to split. The issue here is the cookware set weighs 6.24kg and it is crammed into the a tightly sealed box. I was beginning to think some of it may be broken but luckily it was fine, thankfully the courier hadn't been heavy handed with it.In this set is:18/20cm saucepan24/28cm fry pan28cm wok28cm multi-pan3 glass lids2 stretch silicone lidsand the most important part - 2 detachable handlesAll parts of the aluminium cookware are made from Black Diamond infused ultra-durable non-stick coating for easy cleaning and it gives a beautiful granite look to your saucepans.Accompanied with all the cookware are 3 lids. Each lid is made of glass with a rubber surround to give a great seal when placed onto a saucepan. There is also a steam hole in the rubber to let it out for when in use.The main part of this cookware set is all items can be placed inside each other thus using less space in your draw/cupboard due to Towers unique idea of having removable handles.In total there are 2 handles in the set and each handle has a lock and grip mechanism for attaching to the top of the saucepan and it works really well and feels secure. As there are only 2 in the set I am hoping these are purchasable on their own as if they break for any reason or you require additional ones that could be an issue and you would be stuck with a set of saucepans you cant pick up.Lastly with the set are 2 x silicone lids that can be placed over the top and so you could store cooked food in the fridge or served with it on to keep the heat in. I would say the silicone lids look the weakest part as they appear an after thought and don't fit very well on the saucepans and just feel cheap.This cookware set works on all hob types and just look incredibly premium in your kitchen. With their unique stackable ability and removable handles this will be the only cookware set you will ever need at a reasonable price in the market place.

The 'Tower T900160 Freedom 13pc Detachable Handles Cookware Set with Precision Black Diamond Coating' arrived in a branded box with instructions.I like the fact that this set of pans can be nested when not in use so saving considerable storage space, the removable handles make achieving the space saving even easier.The three big pans share the one lid, though and the two smaller pans have their own lids, and I like the silicone covers for the two smaller pans that can be used maybe in the fridge once cooled.I checked the bases of the pans and they are nice and flat which is unlike some I have encountered that can 'rock' which is not always best for heat transfer, in my case a ceramic hob is the host for the pans.I like the ability to remove the handles, and due to their design they can be attached anywhere around the pan, and if needs be I can attach a second handle opposite the first to allow the pan to be lifted with two hands.The handles have a two part operating function, a rotating lever to tighten the handle clamp onto the pan, and when the lever is brought over the handle it covers the release button so it cannot be accidentally pressed, preventing accidental handle removal.To remove the handle I have to rotate the lever then press the button, and this is where there may be a problem for some, the button needs quite a bit of force to press, my wife who has weak grip had to use two thumbs on the button to get it to release, but she was pleased with that as it made them safe for her.Overall my wife and I are very pleased with these pans.

I had high hopes for this set, but I wasn't even finished unpacking and the lid handle was cracked and fell apart as I unwrapped it. Such a downer and now the options given it is to return the whole set instead receiving just the broken lid replacement.
