Very good for my 88 year old mum **Q: Can I get vat off as I am full time disabled** A: yes you can get vat off through amazon print off the vat form on amazon site and then send it off to amazon by email or post **Q: Can you choose the arms to fold back & up, or fold out & down to the side? or is the down & out to the side a fixed position & not a folding feature?** A: you can have them fixed or upright by not fitting the secure screws **Q: What size does the toilet need to be to fit this?** A: The seat fit's a standard toilet and is more secure as you bolt it on to the toilet unlike the seats that you attach at the side with plastic brackets. If you attach the handles it does feel as if the toilet is bigger and wider but depending on your needs you can attach one handle or both or neither. I've bought many cheaper versions that have broken in the past. It looks neat and tolerable. I also chose it because it was 'easy to install' . It arrived as a self assembly seat with a multi language manual which was not 'easy'. The manual states quite clearly that it should be fitted by a professional with experience of these products. Yes it should. We spent some time trying to figure out the quick acting nuts ( and didn't) and looked hard for the screws to fix the arms (not supplied). Sadly, one arm wouldn't fit in our particular arrangement (very disappointing). Trying to find how to fit it online led me to a website where I could have paid Β£40 less for the product. To summarise, I would say that it is worth considering but check out the room either side to ensure there is room for the arms, make some cake and bribe a lovely practical person around to fit it for you.
