They get stuck in my capsule-making machine, need to be pried out with tweezers and are brittle...sometimes crack or break with too much handling or trying to pull out of my machine. I was lucky if I ended up with 10 out of 24 successfully filled capsules. I have been filling capsules for years and have never had this problem with the other two brands I have used. They also have an odd smell.
