This is not a true Proteolytic Enzyme blend. It is missing some very important enzymes, to name just two, Rutin and Serratiopeptidase, but it is good when taken with food. A Proteolytic Enzyme needs to be taken on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. Any enzyme taken with food will be used to breakdown food and will not cross into the blood to effect the body as a Proteolytic would as there will not be any left after digestion has taken place. **Q: Can the capsules be opened easily? I take one or two depending on the food i about to eat, just before I eat my meal. I tried other enzymes, but many of them had desecated pork pancreas in the formula. I said NO.
