If your vehicle is a diesel and the injectors are blowing you need new seals **Q: Is this ok to use on a EGR valve and gasket?** A: Don't know what that is but the packet says good for -40C to +250C. NOT good for head gaskets or fuel systems. Otherwise ok for engine casings, sump plates, water seals, rocker boxes etc. **Q: Can i use this with a rubber gasket on a valve cover?** A: Don’t really know I used it metal to metal on a timing case and it held no problem .
