Firm but comfortable, just what was needed for injury recovery. Needed for neck pillow, legs, arms and back. Works great and can sleep easier. Also used for sitting and exercise rehabilitation. After carefully opening plastic wrapping not to cut foam. It unrolled into large shape, as advertised.
