The new knife is thinner and lighter and the lanyard hole is much smaller. There is no obvious stainless steel pin in the brass bolster either. I also show it next to a modern Buck 110 Slim Pro knife for comparison's sake, since they are similar designs. For the price, I think this knife is a good value. I wish it came with a leather sheath, but the cordura sheath works nicely with several knives and has a clip so you can easily attach it to a belt, pocket, waistband or whatever. Pretty nice feature! About the weight you would want. Locks back very positive, and won't slip. Good feeling handle with plenty of grip. Nice brass ends. Honestly I don't know why they're selling these this cheap. Nylon case is pretty nice. You have a loop for your belt or a clip that works really well so you don't have to thread it over your belt. Just sliced my wrist open when it slipped. I was working a project with a little bit duller of a knife and switched to this one. Wow this sucker comes sharp right out of the box. Anyway, at least I can still type.
