D-Mannose is a simple sugar which isn't metabolised by the body or used for energy, instead it passes through the urinary tract where it adheres to undesirable bacteria. It doesn't affect blood sugar levels and so is an effective way to maintain a healthy bladder and urinary tract. Suggested directions: As a food supplement, take 1-2 tablets every 2-3 hours with water, depending on the level of support you need, up to a maximum of 14 tablets per day. As a preventative or maintenance dose take 1 to 2 tablets daily (one in the morning, one before bedtime) As with all D-Mannose products, if your symptoms get worse or do not clear within 48 hours, consult a doctor.
