The 3 metal rods that supports the bin & the rubber material that encloses the bin are well made. The material is slitted so installing the rods is easy. Our friend says the 3 rods are sufficient & hold the composting material well as the bin fills up. Given that the rods which become slightly shorter than the top of the bin when driven into the ground my wife & I decided to add several snow taller snow stakes. One to give it a more rounded shape as well as to make it sturdier. It was easy to weave in the additional stakes as there are ample vertical slits in the material to weave them through. It looks great, we’re in the process of filling it up & when it’s complete it will yield a lot of compost. The material should easily last for years & is easily mobile when we want to move it to start a second batch. Very reasonable priced & quality materials. The height is perfect so it's not hard shoveling over the top. My only criticism is its flimsy and a pain to set up alone, not a deal breaker by any means. If you have help it's not bad and once its set up and full it's as sturdy as needed. I would recommend this to anyone who gardens and composts. If you do garden, you ABSOLUTELY should be making your own compost instead of buying it. These days you never know what's in the store-bought compost.
