I like to be able to kick off my motor and row into fishing spots quietly. These are an excellent purchase for the price. I found the oars to be surprisingly sturdy. I'm glad I decided to try these instead of the whole piece oars which cost double. Review: Solid oars that are doing the job - There was a minor paint drip that needed trimming on one of the oars before it would fit together, but once I did that they fit nice, and have worked great for my 18’ sailboat as the primary propulsion to and from trailer, dock, and shore. They fit in some standard oar sockets that I bought and after coming apart fit nicely under the foredeck. While inland sailing I have been setting them on the cockpit floor between use while out on the water. They’re plenty strong and no complaints so far. The included oar locks are plastic and I was a little skeptical at first but they’ve held up for the couple of trips out so far. ## Features - HEAVY-DUTY MARINE GRADE CONSTRUCTION Built from strong yet lightweight powder-coated aluminum with an approx. 1-5/8" shaft diameter, these premium boat oars deliver excellent durability and corrosion resistance for both saltwater and freshwater use. - SPLIT SHAFT DESIGN FOR EASY STORAGE The convenient 2-piece detachable shaft allows each oar to separate into two sections, making storage and transport simple.
