I broke my first one by barely tapping it into the formica counter edge. The one today, had a lid fall on it from the shelf above. In both cases, what breaks off is the thin ceramic handle, making the pot useless. That same, thin handle makes it difficult to hold on and pour when the teapot is full.What I liked about them is their large capacity. I don't drink much hot tea except in the winter, but I drink a lot of iced teas year-round. I can fill and brew one pot in the microwave, pour it into a pitcher, then add water and ice for a full gallon of strong iced tea. I also liked the look.Instead of buying a third teapot, I decided to go with a stoneware large teapot available on Amazon. I'm hoping it will last longer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great tea pot - make infuser deeper and smooth out lip on tea pot. *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2016* We are loose leaf tea drinkers, so we always need a couple of tea pots. So far my favorite had been the Chatsford tea pot, an English brand. I liked the pots when they were made in England. Bu a few years ago they moved manufacturing to Malaysia. Since then the walls are much thinner and do not retain the heat as well.Imagine my surprise when I found and bought this one. What an excellent product! I love the way it retain heats while tea steeps, the pour, the construction is rock solid. The infuser is steel and well built and I love how easy it is to clean.So what are the cons:- The infuser for a 45 oz pot needs to be a tad bigger. We use 7 spoons of loose leaf Assam or Darjeeling tea for the strength we like, but there is not enough room for the tea leaves to expand. Hope they can make the infuser deeper in future versions of the pot.- The lip at the top holds dirty water when turned upside down and placed in a dishwasher. After the dishwasher runs, I have to again rinse out the inside because the lip design retains the dirty water after a rinse.Anyways overall I strongly recommend this design of tea-pot and will buy it again in a heart-beat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do you have time to sit down for a cup of tea? *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2016* This little teapot moved onto our kitchen cupboard as if she were meant to have been there forever. We got it in red. The color is vibrant, the finish is flawless, and the shape is just plain elegant. The lid fits perfectly and stays in place while pouring. We LOVE the dripless spout!! We own a fleet of teapots and this is the first one ever to have a dripless spout! It has gotten rave reviews from guests, and a comment I've heard more than once is that it is deceptively heavy when lifted. This does not mean the pot itself is heavy, because when it is empty, it is not at all. What it means is that it takes up relatively little space and looks small even though it holds about 42 oz. of tea! The infuser insert is beautiful, and since we only brew whole pots of tea at a time (when brewing less, we brew by the cup), we won't encounter the issue of the water not being deep enough in the pot to soak the infuser. (A casual look in there though looks like the infuser is more than halfway deep in the pot to me.) We are daily tea drinkers here as are family and friends who stop in regularly to visit.
